This is an exciting time for our office: we are back to regular care for patients for the first time since, well… before. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety. We've spent hours, days, weeks, months consulting with colleagues, reading up on enhanced infection control recommendations from the American Dental Association (ADA), Michigan Dental Association (MDA) the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), national resources, and other organizations, and we're as ready as we'll ever be.
We're doing this because COVID-19 isn't the only health care issue that exists. We still have thousands of patients with Periodontal (gum) infection, cavities, broken teeth and other non-contagious problems that are going to suffer from not getting regular care. Many of these infections may compromise your immune system and leave you more susceptible to opportunistic infections like COVID-19.
Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice. During this crisis, we have enhanced our, already, thorough infection control process.
