Are you self-conscious about the fact that your teeth aren’t as straight as they could be? Maybe you’ve considered braces, but you won’t want to sacrifice your professional image. Here at LakeView Family Dental, we understand the importance of maintaining a mature appearance, which is why we offer SureSmile clear aligners in West Bloomfield. This new and highly advanced orthodontic treatment allows us to treat bite alignment problems, overcrowding, gapped teeth, and more. Plus, no one should even be able to tell that you’re wearing them! To learn more about these uniquely effective aligners, contact us to schedule an appointment.
SureSmile aligners are made from a plastic material that is virtually see-through when placed over your teeth. Unlike metal braces that broadcast your orthodontic treatment and often irritate your gums, lips, or tongue, SureSmile trays are custom-made to fit your teeth perfectly. They’re created using advanced technology that analyzes your entire facial structure in order to produce trays that comfortable and effectively shift your pearly whites into the desired positions.
In addition to the aesthetic advantages of SureSmile over other forms of orthodontics in West Bloomfield, SureSmile clear aligners offer the following benefits:
After a consultation to determine that you’re a good candidate for SureSmile, one of our dentists will capture digital impressions of your smile. These 3-D images will allow us to develop a personalized treatment plan. With this special SureSmile technology, you’ll be able to see a digital rendering of your teeth moving into their new alignments.
Once you’re satisfied with the imaging, your aligners will be crafted and sent to you within a few weeks. You’ll be instructed to wear them for at least 22 hours a day. Essentially, you’ll only take them out for eating, drinking, or cleaning.
After two or three weeks, you’ll switch to the next pair of aligners in the series. Each set focuses on shifting one part of your smile closer to its ideal position. Depending on the severity of your case, you can expect to finish treatment within three months to a year.
